Abstract 5-NITRO-3,3''-TRIFLUOROMETHYLBENZANILIDES OF THE GENERAL CONFIGURATION IN WHICH R1 is H or CF3 and R2 is H or NO2 and veterinary compositions for the treatment of avian coccidiosis containing the same. The compounds 4'',5-dinitro-3,3''-(bis)trifluoromethylbenzanilide and 5-nitro-3,3'',5''-(tris)trifluoromethylbenzanilide are disclosed as illustrative examples.
