Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 13
Claim 1
Independent Claim 70 words
A transition transformation member for coupling a preferably oval smooth or corrugated waveguide to a rectangular crosssection waveguide characterized in that said member comprises a metallic member having a through opening of rectangular crosssection, a portion of said opening having arcuate shaped recesses in at least two opposing surfaces of said rectangular opening, said curvatures being constant over their entire length for producing a transformation stage in said opposing sides.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 70 words
A transition transformation member for coupling a preferably oval smooth or corrugated waveguide to a rectangular crosssection waveguide characterized in that said member comprises a metallic member having a through opening of rectangular crosssection, a portion of said opening having arcuate shaped recesses in at least two opposing surfaces of said rectangular opening, said curvatures being constant over their entire length for producing a transformation stage in said opposing sides.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 23 words
A transformation part in accordance with claim 1 characterized in that said recesses extend over less than the whole length of the opening.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 28 words
A transformation part in accordance with claim 1 characterized in that the breadth of said recesses each have widths less than the width of their associated opposing surfaces.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 27 words
A transformation part in accordance with claim 1 characterized in that said recesses are arranged so as to be symmetrical about a plane of symmetry between them.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 32 words
A transformation part in accordance with claim 1 characterized in that the lateral limiting edges of said recesses are equally spaced from the sides of the rectangle adjacent those containing said recesses.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 31 words
A transformation part in accordance with claim 1 characterized in that curved surfaces of both of said recesses lie along an imaginary line defined by one and the same circular cylinder.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 23 words
A transformation part in accordance with claim 1 in that the curved surfaces of said recesses each have the same radius of curvature.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 24 words
A transformation part in accordance with claim 1 characterized in that the curved surfaces of said recesses each have a different radius of curvature.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 42 words
A transformation part in accordance with claim 1 characterized in that the rectangular cross-section of the outlet side of the transformation part does not correspond to the rectangular cross-section of the following waveguide, but instead is used as a further transformation stage.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 19 words
A transformation part in accordance with claim 1 characterized in that the rectangular part forms the second transformation stage.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 27 words
A transformation part in accordance with claim 1 characterized in that said cylindrical recesses each decrease in diameter in the axial direction in a number of stages.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 22 words
A transformation part in accordance with claim 11 characterized in that the rear edge of one or each state is constructed obliquely.
