Abstract
Abstract A cyclopentene rich fraction, an isoprene rich fraction, and a diolefin (essentially 1,3-pentadiene and cyclopentadiene) rich fraction are recovered from the C5 cut obtained by petroleum cracking. First, said fractions are extracted in a liquid-liquid extraction with 1-oxo-1-methylphospholine. The extractant is then distilled to separate therefrom said fractions.
