Abstract Polyvinyl chloride and polyolefin plastics such as polyethylene are brightened by incorporating uniformly therein about 0.01 to 0.5 percent by weight of a 2-naphthylnaphthoxazole or a dichloro2-naphthylnaphthoxazole.
