Abstract A PROCESS IS DESCRIBED FOR THE DYE SENSITIZATION OF ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC ELEMENTS. THE DYE IS CONCENTRATED IN A THIN LAYER BY PREFERENTIAL ABSORPTION FROM THE PHOTOCONDUCTIVE LAYER INTO A SUBBING LAYER HAVING A GREATER AFFINITY FOR THE DYE.
