Abstract
Abstract COFFEE EXTRACT IS FREEZE-CONCENTRATED BY FORMING A MIXTURE OF ICE CRYSTALS AND CONCENTRATED EXTRACT IN A CRYSTALLIZER, AND SEPARATING THE CONCENTRATED EXTRACT FROM THE ICE BY CENTRIFUGATION. THE SEPARATED ICE CRYSTALS ARE MELTED, THE MELTED ICE STREAM IS CENTRIFUGED TO REMOVE UNDESIRABLE WAXES AND SEDIMENT, AND THE CLARIFIED AND MELTED ICE IS CONCENTRATED AND THEN ADDED BACK TO THE CONCENTRATED EXTRACT STREAM.
