Abstract CATALASE-ACTIVE AND/OR PEROXYDASE-ACTIVE COMPOUNDS ARE PRODUCED IMAGEWISE IN A LAYER BY EXPOSING A LAYER WHICH CONTAINS COMPOUNDS CAPABLE OF SPLITTING OFF IODINE OR IODINE IONS UPON EXPOSURE TO ACTINIC LIGHT, THE VISIBLE IMAGE BEING FORMED BY DECOMPOSITION OF PEROXIDE COMPOUNDS BY THE SAID CATALASE-ACTIVE OR PEROXYLASE-ACTIVE COMPOUNDS.
