Abstract AN APPARATUS FOR IN VITRO DETERMINATION OF THE DISSOLUTION BEHAVIOR OF PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITIONS IN THE GASTRIONTESTINAL TRACT COMPRISING A THERMOSTATICALLY CONTROLLED, CYLINDER MOUNTED FOR HORIZONTAL ROTATION ABOUT ITS CYLINDRICAL AXIS APPROXIMATELY 50% FILLED WITH SOLID SPHERES, SUPPLY MEANS FOR ARTIFICIAL STOMACH FLUID AND GASTRIC FLUID, RESPECTIVELY, CONNECTED TO SAID CYLINDER, METERING MEANS AND FRACTION COLLECTOR CONNECTED IN SERIES TO A DISCHARGE OUTLET OF THE CYLINDER AND TIME SEQUENCE CONTROL MEANS FOR ACTUATING THE METERING MEANS AND FRACTION COLLECTOR AND PROCESS OF USING SAID APPARATUS.
