Abstract POLYAMINES HAVING THE PRIMARY AMINE GROUPS THEREOF CONVERTED TO ALDIMINE OR KETIMINE GROUPS AND AT LEAST ONE SECONDARY AMINE GROUP ARE REACTED WITH EQUIVALENT AMOUNTS OF ORGANIC ISOCYANATES TO YIELD NEW COMPOUNDS OR DERIVATIVES, THE EQUIVALENTS BEING BASED ON THE SECONDARY AMINE AND ISOCYANATE GROUPS. THE RESULTING PRODUCTS ARE REACTED WITH ORGANIC POLYISOCYANATES TO YIELD POLYMERS ESPECIALLY USEFUL AS COATINGS.
