Abstract
Abstract A core clamping system for a nuclear reactor that utilizes a cylinder connected to a core support structure of the reactor and which is slotted axially to develop a plurality of cantilever beam-spring segments that act upon the core elements at a determined clamping plane to accommodate for expansion and contraction of the reactor core and thereby induce a negative contribution to the power coefficient of the nuclear reactor.
