Abstract
Abstract CONCRETE REINFORCING ELEMENTS ARE COATED PRIOR TO THEIR USE WITH CONCRETE. THE COATING COMPRISES A PULVERULENT METAL IN INTIMATE MIXTURE WITH THE RESIDUE FROM A COMPOSITION CONTAINING AN ORGANIC COMPONENT PLUS A HEXAVALENT-CHROMIUM-PROVIDING SUBSTANCE. THE COATING PROVIDES EXCELLENT CORROSION RESISTANCE FOR THE REINFORCING ELEMENTS AND FURTHER AFFORDS ENHANCED ADHESION FOR CONCRETE TO THE COATED ELEMENT.
