Abstract
Abstract Fluorocompounds of the formula CH=CH2(CH2CH2)nRfCH2OR in which Rf is a perfluoroalkylene radical of no more than 18 carbon atoms and R is a hydrogen atoms or acyl radical. These monomers can be polymerized with a free radical catalyst to give OR THE COMPOUNDS CAN BE REACTED WITH *SiH to give the corresponding substituted silicon atom. The novel silicon containing compounds are useful as elastomers, lubricants, and coating compositions.
