Abstract TREATING GAS TO REMOVE UNWANTED PARTICLES SUSPENDED THEREIN BY FIRST INTRODUCING AND DISPERSING SECONDARY PARTICLES INTO THE GAS, THEN EXPOSING THE GAS TO A SONIC FIELD WHICH INDUCES DIFFERENTIAL MOTION BETWEEN SUSPENDED PARTICLES OF DIFFERENT SIZES WHEREBY THE PARTICLES ARE CAUSED TO COLLIDE WITH EACH OTHER AND AGGLOMERATE INTO COMPOSITE PARTICLES, AND THEN REMOVING THE COMPOSITE PARTICLES FROM THE GAS.
