Abstract
Abstract A tractor implement employs a torque rod having an angularly offset projection, a swingable, adjusting lever provided with a tube slidably receiving the projection, and a crank pin on the rod engageable with and supported by a hitch assembly interconnecting the implement with the tractor for translating the swinging motion of the lever into an upward or downward movement of one end of the implement.

Total Claims: 11
Claim 1
Independent Claim
121 words
In combination with a vehicle, an implement comprising: a tool-supporting body; ground-engaging, body-supporting structure secured to the body at one end of the latter for vertical swinging movement of the body with respect to said structure; a hitch pivotally secured to the body at the opposite end of the latter for vertical swinging movement of the hitch relative to the body; a coupling pivotally securing the hitch to said vehicle for vertical swinging movement of the hitch relative to the vehicle; and mechanism operably interconnecting the body and the hitch for raising and lowering said opposite end of the body as the latter swings relative to the hitch and said structure, and as said hitch swings with respect to the vehicle.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
56 words
In the invention as claimed in claim 1, the axis of swinging movement of the body relative to the hitch being intermediate said coupling and said structure and parallel with the axis of swinging of the body relative to the structure as well as the axis of swinging movement of the hitch relative to the vehicle.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
59 words
In the invention as claimed in claim 2, said mechanism including a member rotatable about an axis parallel with the aforementioned axes, a manually operable element connected with the member for rotating the latter, and a crank on the member responsive to rotation of the latter for effecting said raising and lowering of the opposite end of the body.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
36 words
In the invention as claimed in claim 3, said member being carried by the body, said crank being disposed for upward and downward movement during rotation of the member and for operable engagement with said hitch.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
53 words
An implement as claimed in claim 2, including a member rotatable about an axis parallel with the aforementioned axes and a manually operable element swingable in a horizontal plane and provided with means pivotally connecting the same with the member for actuating the latter about said axis thereof during swinging of the element.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
36 words
An implement as claimed in claim 5, said connecting means including a tube on the element and a projection on the member extending laterally from the member, said projection being disposed for oscillation within the tube.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
29 words
An implement as claimed in claim 6, the angle between the member and the projection being less than 90* with respect to said axis of rotation of said member.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
43 words
An implement as claimed in claim 7, said member being carried by the body with its said axis of rotation traversing the normal path of travel of said implement, said element overlying the body and extending generally fore-and-aft of said path of travel.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim
37 words
An implement as claimed in claim 8; and means on the body remote from said connecting means for releasably holding said element in any one of a number of selected positions along its swinging path of travel.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim
44 words
An implement as claimed in claim 8, said projection extending from one extremity of the member upwardly and outwardly therefrom and the tube being rigid to one extremity of the element, said elEment being spaced from the body throughout the length of the element.
