Abstract An electron tube, such as a television-picture tube, comprising a sealed envelope having a cathode and an anode therein, a label comprising a dye-stainable backing adhered to the external surface of said envelope, the label and a layer including a solvent-soluble dye contiguous with at least a portion of a surface of the backing.
