Abstract
Abstract Discloses vacuum gap devices including triggerable gap and switch devices in which a pair of electrode assemblies, each having a plurality of electrode elements which are parallel and/or normal to the same plane are assembled with opposed electrode members interleaved to form a periodic ring shaped structure. A current interrupting arc is initiated by a pair of butt-type arc-electrodes located centrally of the rod array.
