Abstract
Abstract The nuclear hydroxylation of a nuclearly substituted aromatic acid is accomplished by treating the acid with hydrogen peroxide in the presence of substantially anhydrous hydrogen fluoride at a temperature in the range of from about -10* to about 100* C.
