Abstract
Abstract New 9,10-bridged anthracene compounds, such as 9,10-dihydro9,10-bis(hydroxymethyl)-N-phenyl-9,10-ethanoanthracene -11,12dicarboximide, for example, improve certain properties of polyesters prepared by polymerization of a dicarboxylic acid, such as terephthalic acid, and an alkylene glycol, such as ethylene glycol, when incorporated in the polymerization mixture.
