Abstract

Abstract Highly sensitive sorption detectors are prepared from colloidal dispersions of high surface area porous materials. These sensitive sorption detectors are preconditioned by exposure to certain specified liquids. Preconditioning stabilizes the output signal of the detector making them particularly useful in measuring trace components in gas streams.
