Abstract 2-Substituted benzylidene-e-phenyl-3-hydroxy-5-oxo-2,5dihydrofuran derivatives, for example 2-(m-trifluoromethyl- Alpha -methoxycarbonylbenzylidene)-4-phenyl-3-hydroxy-5-oxo-2,5dihydrofuran, a process for their preparation, and pharmaceutical compositions. Compounds have anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic activity.
