Abstract
Abstract Amorphous boron-silicon-nitride ternary nitrides are prepared by reacting boron trichloride (BCl3), silicon tetrachloride (SiCl4), and ammonia. The products are resistant to oxidation; have a surface area greater than 100 m2/gm; and are useful at high temperatures as insulation, catalyst supports, and dry lubricants.
