Abstract THE HYDROLYSIS OF RARE-EARTH OXIDE PHOSPHORS CONTAINED IN A SLURRY OF AN ORGANIC BINDER SENSITIZED WITH A DICHROMATE ION CAN BE PREVENTED BY TREATING THE PHOSPHOR OR THE SLURRY WITH A WATER SOLUBLE PO4-3 CONTAINING COMPOUND PRIOR TO THE APPLICATION OF THE SLURRY TO A SUBSTRATE.
