Abstract This invention relates to (3,5-dialkyl-4- hydroxy benzyl) trialkyl Phosphonium Chlorides and corresponding zwitterions which are useful as intermediates in the preparation of alkenyl phenols. The alkenyl phenols find utility as antioxidants for hydrocarbons and polyolefins.
