Abstract
Abstract RHENIUM VALUES ARE RECOVERED FROM A SPENT RHENIUMPLATINUM-ALUMINA CATALYST. THE CATALYST IS TREATED WITH SULFURIC ACID TO FORM A RHENIUM-CONTAINING ALUMINUM SULFATE SOLUTION AND A PLATINUM-CONTAINING RESIDUE. THE RHENIUM-CONTAINING SOLUTION IS PASSED IN CONTACT WITH THE SULFATE IONIC FORM OF AN ANIONIC EXCHANGE RESIN WHEREBY RHENIUM IS ABSORBED THERON. THE RHENIUM IS SUBSEQUENTLY ELUTED FROM THE RESIN.
