Abstract
Abstract BORNCALCIC ORE IS TREATED WITH AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION CONTAINING A CARBONATE, BICARBONATE, HYDROXIDE, OR MIXTURE THEREOF OF A LEAST ONE ALKALI METAL COMPOUND. THE RESULANT AQUEOUS SOLUTION IS FILTERED AND THEN WASHED WITH AN EQUEOUS SOLUTION WHICH CONTAINS AT LEAST ONE OF THE ALKALI METAL COMPOUNDS PRESENT IN THE TREATING SOLUTION. THE SPENT WASHING SOLUTION IS RECYCLED AND USED FOR THE TREATMENT OF ADDITIONAL ORE.
