Abstract
Abstract A pressurized gas or liquid in a rock chamber is prevented from leaking out through cracks in the rock if pressurized water is supplied to the rock so as to fill said cracks. The pressurized water shall be supplied to the rock also before and during the blasting of the rock chamber.

Claim 1
Independent Claim
100 words
A method of preventing leakage during storage of a gas or a liquid in a rock chamber by artifically supplying water or other suitable fluid to the rock surrounding the rock chamber through a series of drill holes also before or during blasting of the rock chamber, according to which a number of substantially horizontal galleries are blasted at a level higher than that of the proposed rock chamber, a number of substantially horizontal holes are then drilled from these galleries, the galleries and drill holes are then filled with the suitable fluid and thereafter the rock chamber is blasted.

Claim 3
Independent Claim
82 words
A method of preventing leakage during storage of a gas or a liquid in a rock chamber by artificially supplying water or other suitable fluid to the rock surrounding the rock chamber through a series of drill holes also before or during blasting of the rock chamber, according to which a number of substantially vertical holes are drilled in the ground surface above the proposed rock chamber, suitable fluid is supplied to these drill holes and the rock chamber is then blasted.
Claim 4
Independent Claim
82 words
A method of preventing leakage during storage of a gas or a liquid in a rock chamber by artificially supplying water or other suitable fluid to the rock surrounding the rock chamber through a series of drill holes also before or during blasting of the rock chamber, according to which a number of substantially vertical holes are drilled in the ground surface above the proposed rock chamber, suitable fluid is supplied to these drill holes and the rock chamber is then blasted.
Claim 5
Independent Claim
90 words
A method of preventing leakage during storage of a gas or a liquid in a rock chamber by artificially supplying water or other suitable fluid to the rock surrounding the rock chamber through a series of drill holes also before or during blasting of the rock chamber, according to which a system of galleries and drill holes leading from these galleries is constructed on all sides of the proposed rock chamber, these galleries and drill holes then being filled with said suitable fluid, and the rock chamber is then blasted.
Claim 6
Independent Claim
90 words
A method of preventing leakage during storage of a gas or a liquid in a rock chamber by artificially supplying water or other suitable fluid to the rock surrounding the rock chamber through a series of drill holes also before or during blasting of the rock chamber, according to which a system of galleries and drill holes leading from these galleries is constructed on all sides of the proposed rock chamber, these galleries and drill holes then being filled with said suitable fluid, and the rock chamber is then blasted.
Claim 7
Independent Claim
71 words
A method of building a rock chamber, comprising drilling a plurality of drill holes in the rock at least above the desired rock chamber, leading conduits for pressurized fluid into said drill holes, sealing said drill holes, supplying pressurized water to said drill holes so as to maintain the natural ground water level, and subsequently excavating the rock chamber while continuing the gradual supply of pressurized water to said drill holes.
Claim 8
Independent Claim
71 words
A method of building a rock chamber, comprising drilling a plurality of drill holes in the rock at least above the desired rock chamber, leading conduits for pressurized fluid into said drill holes, sealing said drill holes, supplying pressurized water to said drill holes so as to maintain the natural ground water level, and subsequently excavating the rock chamber while continuing the gradual supply of pressurized water to said drill holes.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
35 words
A method according to claim 11, characterized in that the galleries and drill holes are designed so that they form at least one inner screen and at least one outer screen around the rock chamber.
