Abstract

Abstract To reduce the danger of electrical shock in two-wire nongrounded electrical systems, the leakage current from line L1 to ground is balanced by an injected current from ground to line L1, and similarly the leakage current from line L2 to ground is balanced by an injected current from ground to line L2. In this way, the leakage current from line L1 to ground cannot pass through a human body from ground to L2, since the leakage current form a closed current loop.
