Abstract
Abstract Novel phenyloxy-furylmethyl or -thenyl 2,2-dimethyl 3substituted cyclopropane carboxylate of the formula: WHEREIN R1 is a hydrogen atom or methyl group; R2 is methyl, 2methyl-1-propenyl, 2-methoxycarbonyl-1-propenyl, phenyl or 3,4methylenedioxyphenyl group when R1 is a hydrogen atom, or methyl group when R1 is methyl group; R3 is a hydrogen or a halogen atom or methyl group; and Y is an oxygen or a sulfur atom; which carboxylate is useful as an insecticide and is prepared by the esterification of the reactive derivatives of the carboxylic acid with the furylmethyl or thenyl compounds.
