Abstract OPEN-CELL NON-SHRINKING, FLEXIBLE POLYURETHANE FOAM PREPARED FROM AN ALIPHATIC POLYISOCYANATE, A POLYESTER POLYOL, AND WATER IN THE PRESENCE OF A 2-SUBSTITUTED1,1,3,3-TETRAALKYL GUANIDINE AS CATALYST AND AN ACID, SAID ACID HAVING A PKA OF ABOUT 1-10 AND BEING PRACTICALLY INSOLUBLE IN DIETHYL ETHER; THE ADDITION OF ALL THE COMPONENTS BEING CONDUCTED IN SUCH A MANNER THAT CONTACT BETWEEN SAID ACID AND SAID CATALYST IS AVOIDED PRIOR TO THE MIXING OF ALL THE COMPONENTS.
