Abstract

Abstract A radiation-curable solvent-free printing ink consists of (1) about 20 to 98 weight per cent of a pentaerythritol acrylate, methacrylate, or itaconate, (2) about 2 to 80 weight per cent of a halogenated aromatic, alicyclic, or aliphatic hydrocarbon photoinitiator wherein the halogen atoms are attached directly to the ring structure in the aromatic and alicyclic compounds and to the carbon chain in the aliphatic compounds, and (3) a colorant.
