In combination with a seat belt retractor having a frame, a reel rotatably mounted on said frame, and a belt attached to said reel for protraction and retraction with respect thereto and fastener means for attachment of said retractor to a vehicle, the improvement comprising a cover for said retractor, said cover including a body portion open at one end thereof for insertion and positioning therewithin of said retractor and a work aperture for access to said fastener means, slot means being provided in said body portion through which said belt may be protracted and retracted, closure means, attaching means for attaching said closure means to said cover, said closure means extending across at least a portion of said open end thereof in retention of said retractor therewithin to provide a unitary structure, and a cover plate for attachment over said work aperture.
