Abstract THIS INVENTION CONCERNS A METHOD OF MAKING A STABLE BLEND OF AN ELASTOMER AND AN IMCOMPATIBLE PLASTIC COMPRISING FLUXING THE ELASTOMER, THE INCOMPATIBLE PLASTIC, AND A FINELY DIVIDED REINFORCING PARICULATE FILLER AT A TEMPERATURE ABOVE THE SOFTENING POINT OF THE PLASTIC AND BELOW THE DEGRADATION TEMPERATURE OF THE PLASTIC AND THE ELASTOMER.
