Abstract
Abstract Polyester cord reinforcement in rubber (e.g. in tires) is rendered more resistant to deterioration upon heat aging if the rubber stock contains certain deterioration preventing substances which include certain aldehydes, esters (e.g. diethyl oxalate), lactones, lactides, ketones, keto esters, halides, salts, orthosilicates, orthoformates, silanes, sulfites, isocyanates, epoxides, and anhydrides, as well as polymers of such substances.
