Abstract
Abstract Process for quenching steel and rails, in a fluidized powder medium. The fluidized medium is formed by mixing a powder of chromium, iron, nickel, molybdenum or tungsten, or alloys of these metals, with a pure steam or a gas comprising essentially steam.
