Abstract
Abstract 3,4-DICHIOROBUTENE-1 AND 1,4-DICHLOROBUTENE-2 ARE USEFUL INTERMEDIATES IN CHEMICAL INDUSTRY. HOWEVER, 3,4-DICHLOROBUTENE-1 AND 1,4-DICHLOROBUTENE-2 ARE ISOMERIZED INTO ONE ANOTHER DURING THE STORAGE OR IN SUCH A STEP AS DISTILLATION AND AN UNDERSIRABLE ISOMER IS INCREASED. SUCH AN UNDERSIRABLE ISOMERIZATION IS PREVENTED BY ADDING AN AMMONIUM SALT OF A CARBOXYLIC ACID AS A STABLIZER.
