Abstract DIBENZO (C,F) THIAZEPINES (1,2) WHEREIN THE TWO BENZENE NUCLEI MAY BE SUBSTITUTED BY HALOGEN OR LOWER-ALKYL OR LOWER-ALKOXY HAVING UP TO 5 CARBON ATOMS INCLUSIVE, THE NITROGEN ATOM IS SUBSTITUTED BY LOWER-ALKYL HAVING UP TO 5 CARBON ATOMS INCLUSIVE, AND THE THIAZEPINE BEARS IN POSITION 5 AN OPTIONALLY SUBSTITUTED PIPERAZINE RADICAL OR AN OXY- OR THIO-ALKYLENEAMINO RADICAL, AND ACID ADDITION SALTS THEREOF, HAVING HYPOTENSIVE, BRONCHODILATOR AND DIURETIC ACTIVITY.
