Abstract

Abstract Hydrolyzed starch materials such as corn syrups are heated in the presence of acid to a temperature of about 300* F. to 370* F. The resultant product is allowed to cool and solidify; it may then be ground to a dry powder. The powder so produced can be stored in paper envelopes under rather severe temperature humidity conditions and will remain dry and will not clump.
