Abstract THE PRODUCTION OF AGGLOMERATED BODIES OF SILICA WHEREIN A COMPOSITION FORMED IN WHOLE OR IN PART OF SILICA HYDROGEL MICROBALLS IS AGGLOMERATED AND WHICH INCLUDES THE TREATMENT OF THE MICROBALLS PRIOR TO AGGLOMERATION WITH AN ALKALINE MEDIUM TO INCREASE THE COMPOSITE STRENGTH OF THE AGGLOMERATED BODIES.
