Abstract
Abstract Method and apparatus for removing solid particles from a suspension by moving the suspension through a filter in which an electrostatic charge is generated. In one embodiment the electrically sensitive solid particles are attracted to and held by a dielectric porous filter material while an electrically insulating fluid carrier continues through the filter housing where it exits free from solid particle contamination.
