Abstract
Abstract In the art of electroplating nonconductive materials, adhesion of metal to the material is enhanced by incorporating into the material from 1 to 25 percent by weight of a metal resinate. Crystalline polyolefins, such as polyethylene, polypropylene and propylene-ethylene copolymer, are modified with calcium resinate, zinc resinate, aluminum resinate, sodium resinate, potassium resinate or ammonium resinate to improve the adhesion of metal thereto.
