Abstract

Abstract This invention is directed to a valve adapted for bi-directional thermally responsive sealing means having a pair of spaced beadlike projections for engaging a valve disc in leak-proof fashion. The bidirectional seal is provided with means for mechanically loading the sealing means for maintaining a substantially constant pressure on the sealing means to provide an essentially constant sealing load with temperature changes.
