Abstract OLEFINS ARE OBTAINED IN HIGH YIELD BY THE CATALYTIC CRACKING OF PETROLEUM FEEDSTOCKS, PARTICULARLY THOSE RICH IN SATURATED HYDROCARBONS, USING NOVEL ZEOLITIC MOLECULAR SIEVE CATALYSTS WHICH ARE FULLY CATIONIZED WITH MONOVALENT AND/OR BIVALENT METAL CATIONS AND WHICH HAVE LESS THAN THREE SURFACE STRUCTURAL HYDROXYLS PER HUNDRED FRAMEWORK ALUMINUM ATOMS.
