Abstract An article labeling system including article supply means; an addressing machine with article labeling head, said labels in the form of an endless sheet-like piece having at least one label row with a control tape portion bearing control data for individual labels extending therealong; and means for operating the labeling system in accordance with the control data on the label form control tape.
