Abstract THIS IS A METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A MONOLITHIC H.F. TUNER FOR FORMING LOW RESISITIVE REGIONS WHICH SURROUNDS A PLANAR TRANSISTOR AN A CAPACTIVE DIODE FRORMED WITHIN THE SUBSTRATE. THESE LOW RESISTIVE REGIONS ARE FORMED BY SUBEPITAXIAL DIFFUSION OF BURIED LAYERS IN TWO STEPS. THESE LOW RESISTIVE REGIONS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REDUCING UNWANTED BARRIER LAYER CAPACITANCE AND RESULT IN BETTER CONTROL OVER THE TUNING CHARACTERISTIC OF THE DEVICE.
