Abstract

Abstract Barium titanate and strontium titanate powders having a particle size in the range of 50 to 150 angstroms and a purity of 99.75 percent or higher are prepared by the hydrolytic decomposition of a barium or strontium alcoholate and a titanium alcoholate. The barium and strontium titanate powders are useful in the preparation of dense ferroelectric bodies, thin film electronic components, and piezoelectric materials.
