Abstract A PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF THERMOSTABILISABLE POLYTHIIRANES IN WHICH IS USED AT LEAST ONE MONOMER SELECTED FROM COMPOUNDS OF THE GROUP OF THIIRANE AND PRODUCTS OBTAINED BY SUBSTITUTING IN THIIRANE AT LEAST ONE CARBON ATOMS, CHARACTERIZED IN THAT AT LEAST ONE PHENYL PHOSPHINE OUT OF THE THREE PHOSPHORUS VALENCES IS USED AS A CATALYST AND THAT POLYMERIZATION IS EFFECTED IN THE ABSENCE OF SOLVENT OR IN THE PRESENCE OF AT LEAST ONE APROTIC SOLVENT, AND THE POLYMERS THUS OBTAINED.
