Abstract A PROCESS FOR THE HEAT STABILIZATION OF POLYAMIDE FIBERS, BRISTLES AND FOILS WITH COPPER COMPOUND, AREOMATIC AMINES, AND ALKALI, HALIDES. THE COPPER COMPOUND AND AMINES ARE INCORPORAED IN THE STARTING MATERIALS PRIOR TO THE POLYMERIZATION. THE ALKALI HALIDES AND ANY OTHER COMPONENTS OF THE STABILIZER ARE ADDED ONLY UPON THE FORMATION OF FIBERS, BRISTLES OR FOILS, PRIOR TO STRETCHING.
