Abstract DISCLOSED HEREIN ARE NONIONIC BIODEGRADABLE FOAM CONTROL AGENTS PREPARED FROM THE SPECIFIC SEQUENTIAL REACTION OF (A) A POLYFUNCTIONAL INITIATOR AND AN ALKYLENE OXIDE HAVING FROM TEN TO TWENTY CARBON ATOMS, AND (B) THE PRODUCT OF (A) AND MIXTURES OF LOWER ALKYLENE OXIDES, EACH HAVING FROM TWO TO FOUR CARBON ATOMS TO YIELD A SUBSTANTIALLY HYDROPHOBIC FINAL PRODUCT HAVING A MOLECULAR WEIGHT OF FROM 1,000 TO 2,000 WHICH EXHIBITS SUFFICIENT HYDROPHILIC CHARACTERISTICS TO BE PARTIALLY WATERSOLUBLE.
