Abstract
Abstract Solutions of tellurium dioxide, suitable for employment as reaction medium in tellurium dioxide oxidations of suitable organic compounds such as olefins, are prepared by introducing tellurium dioxide and a source of halide ion into a liquid which comprises a solvent for the halide ion source.
