Abstract

Abstract A drive system utilizes silicon-controlled rectifiers and a feedback loop for operating a direct current motor from alternating current input power at a predetermined speed regardless of load conditions. Circuitry is provided for controlling the width of the dead band of the system, and a circuit is provided for controlling acceleration and deceleration of the motor, said circuit having a capacitor and switch means responsive to an error signal to charge and discharge said capacitor.
